Job Description
We are looking for an entrepreneurial HTS Scientist to join the new Sweet Bliss project at BII, where food science meets synthetic biology. Your role will involve designing, executing, and optimizing high throughput screening assays to identify and characterize sweet protein variants with enhanced functionalities.
Your Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a three-year project within planetary health led by a respected Principal Investigator. Join a team of passionate scientists dedicated to engineering and developing new foods using sustainable sweet proteins.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize HTS assays for sweet protein identification
- Collaborate with protein designers and strain engineers
- Lead screening efforts and establish protein purification flows
- Automate operations and write SOPs for production
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology or related field
- 1-3 years of post-PhD experience, industrial experience preferred
- Practical experience with HTS assay development and automation platforms
- Experience with protein engineering and data analysis software
- Strong organizational and communication skills
