As a Quality Lab Associate I, you will be responsible for reading plates for EM, Bioburden, and conducting special project testing while ensuring accurate recording of test results. Additional microbiological testing may also be part of your tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate lab equipment: laminar flow hoods, autoclave, incubators, etc.
• Read plates and enter test results into LIMS
• Initiate investigations for microbial out-of-limit situations
• Conduct monthly safety audits
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform growth promotion testing and media sterility verification
• Approve necessary paperwork
• Assist in compiling monthly Microbial Identification reports
• Prepare media for microbiological testing
• Perform Thermal Death Time testing
• General housekeeping of the Laboratory

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience; at least 1 year in the Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality-based computer systems like LIMS
• Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and good documentation skills
• Experience with laboratory instruments and equipment
• Knowledge of microbiological testing according to regulatory standards
