Job Description
Eurofins is seeking an Associate Scientist I to support laboratory activities in agrigenomics. Responsibilities include sample preparation, DNA extraction, PCR, NGS, genotyping, and data analysis for plant, animal, and human specimens.
Responsibilities and Duties
General:
- Preparation of paperwork
 - Sample preparation (leaf, seed, and animal samples)
 - DNA Extraction
 - General Lab cleaning
 - Genotyping
 - PCR
 - Microarray technology
 - NGS
 - Data analysis
 - Customer communication
 - Assist in training of staff
 - Internal communication about processes
 - Other duties as needed
 
Specific:
- Assists in equipment maintenance and calibration
 - Support and maintain ISO quality system
 - Support and maintain EBDI Safety program
 - Others as required by workflows
 
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a field related to Agriculture or Laboratory Science
 - Relevant work experience may replace some education
 - Good attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment, and good communication skills
 - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn lab-specific hardware and software
 - Knowledge of DNA extraction, PCR setup, and interpretation preferred

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm or 10:30am-6:30pm
