Responsibilities

  • Perform slide manufacturing, H&E staining, IHC staining, and other work required for block qualification with accuracy and thoroughness
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on laboratory equipment
  • Manufacture, label, and package products according to standard operating procedures
  • Use local ERP systems and approved documents to document manufacturing processes accurately
  • Perform required laboratory equipment maintenance and laboratory cleaning; maintain relevant laboratory records
  • Escalate any non-conformances to appropriate personnel, and participate in the investigation process as needed
  • Assist with updates to documents pertaining to lab procedures and product manufacturing
  • Follow regulatory and standard requirements as applicable to the site

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of Histology lab experience
  • Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Life Science discipline and 2+ years of Histology lab experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Life Science discipline and 1+ years’ experience with general laboratory equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and other industry standards
  • Strong computer skills, including MS 365
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good time management and project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with SAP, SAP NEXT, or other ERP systems strongly preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in an FDA-regulated biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience using a microtome
  • Experience performing IHC methods
