Responsibilities
- Perform slide manufacturing, H&E staining, IHC staining, and other work required for block qualification with accuracy and thoroughness
- Perform basic troubleshooting on laboratory equipment
- Manufacture, label, and package products according to standard operating procedures
- Use local ERP systems and approved documents to document manufacturing processes accurately
- Perform required laboratory equipment maintenance and laboratory cleaning; maintain relevant laboratory records
- Escalate any non-conformances to appropriate personnel, and participate in the investigation process as needed
- Assist with updates to documents pertaining to lab procedures and product manufacturing
- Follow regulatory and standard requirements as applicable to the site
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of Histology lab experience
- Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Life Science discipline and 2+ years of Histology lab experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Life Science discipline and 1+ years’ experience with general laboratory equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and other industry standards
- Strong computer skills, including MS 365
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good time management and project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with SAP, SAP NEXT, or other ERP systems strongly preferred
- 1+ years of experience in an FDA-regulated biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment
- Experience using a microtome
- Experience performing IHC methods
