Job Description:

This position involves analytical testing to support product quality analysis for Bioprocess Development under the guidance of a scientist. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sample preparation with consistent pipetting and attention to detail.
  • Performing enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) to monitor impurities and assess antigen binding.
  • Performing basic data acquisition and statistical analysis with clear and concise documentation in electronic lab notebooks.
  • Reporting experimental results to stakeholders clearly and concisely to inform project decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in laboratory sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a similar field.
  • Previous experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2-4 years) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A solid scientific understanding of ELISA technology for effective interpretation and troubleshooting is desirable.
  • GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) experience is a plus.
  • Validation experience is beneficial.
  • Experience with electronic lab notebooks and data management tools is a plus.
  • Strong written, oral, and collaborative skills to effectively communicate experimental procedures and results.
  • Basic knowledge in related functional areas, such as cell culture and protein purification, is a plus.
  • Demonstrated record of independent thinking, creativity, and scientific accomplishments.
  • In some cases, an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or directly related experience may be considered sufficient.

Working Environment:

  • Ability to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
  • Ability to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in non-traditional work environments.
  • Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.
  • May have exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments.
  • Ability to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
