The Role & What You Will Be Doing
The Microbiology Laboratory Technician I will be responsible for day to day microbiological testing (raw materials, waters, in-process & finished products) and environmental monitoring. Key responsibilities include testing for bioburden, endotoxin, sterility, microorganism identification, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing of raw materials, in-process & finished products for bioburden
- Environmental monitoring of classified areas and compressed gases
- Identification of microorganisms to species level
- Supporting process qualification and stability programs
- Assisting in test method validations
- Monitoring and analyzing test results
- Training team members when required
About Your Skills & Experience We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related discipline (preferably Microbiology) and 0-2 yearsโ experience in a Microbiology department. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Environmental monitoring, Sterility, Bioburden, and Endotoxin testing, along with familiarity with USP and Ph. Eur. microbiological requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related discipline
- 0-2 years of experience in a Microbiology department
- Knowledge of Environmental monitoring, Sterility, Bioburden, and Endotoxin testing
- Familiarity with USP and Ph. Eur. microbiological requirements
- Experience working in an FDA/HPRA regulated facility
