Quality Technician Job Description:

Essential Duties:

• Perform and support routine and complex lab analyses

• Prepare samples for testing, maintain documentation, and report findings

• Operate lab equipment: balances, pH meter, colorimeter, spectrophotometer, etc.

• Maintain quality records, reagents, and standards

• Clean lab equipment and ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and SOPs

• Support Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) documentation

• Handle dairy, nut, and allergen-related samples

• Perform data entry and analysis

• Ensure adherence to food safety and laboratory protocols

Qualifications for Quality Technician Job:

Education:

• An associate’s degree or coursework in Food Science or Biology is preferred.

Experience:

• 1+ year in food production or quality/lab testing preferred

• Familiarity with both metric and standard measurement systems

Skills:

• Ability to follow SOPs, HACCP, GLP, and GMP

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Effective verbal and written communication

• Basic math and computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Able to lift 50 lbs and multitask in a fast-paced environment
