Associate Lab Chemist Job – Tyson Foods, Haltom City, TX

Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical, analytical, and microbiological lab tests

• Inspect product, equipment, and plant systems for food safety compliance

• Follow SOPs and quality protocols

• Review FSQA records and isolate non-conforming product

• Maintain, calibrate, and clean lab equipment

• Collect, analyze, and report sample data

• Conduct sensory testing on pork, beef, and poultry products

• Adhere to USDA, company policies, and GMP

Requirements For Associate Lab Chemist Job:

Education:

• College-level coursework or degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Food Science preferred

Experience:

• 1+ year in food manufacturing, lab, or quality assurance environment

• Lab experience in food chemistry preferred

Skills for Associate Lab Chemist Job:

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Ability to read and interpret product specs

• Physical ability to lift 70 lbs, stand for long hours, and work in hot/cold/wet environments

• Must pass background check and LOTO certification
