Microbiology Technician Job Opportunity – Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine microbiological testing (endotoxin, sterility, bioburden, microbial limits) on raw materials and finished products.
- Conduct environmental monitoring (EM) to support aseptic manufacturing.
- Handle culture collections, identify microorganisms, and maintain cleanroom environmental summaries.
- Support validation and investigations, including facility and process validation activities.
- Prepare growth media, run autoclaves, wash labware, and maintain sterile environments.
- Document results using Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ALCOA principles.
- Rotate lab duties, including weekend testing and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Use LIMS systems, analyze data, and assist with trending and technical report writing.
- Adhere to cGMP standards, EHS requirements, and contribute to lab 5S and safety initiatives.
Microbiology Technician Job Opportunity – Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or life sciences is required.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a GMP-compliant pharmaceutical or biotech environment.

- Proficient in microbial testing and environmental monitoring techniques.
- Working knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and pharmaceutical lab practices.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Able to lift 25 lbs, maintain proper hygiene, and wear lab PPE.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail, team-oriented, and self-motivated.
