Job Description
As a Microbiology Technologist at Northwell Laboratories, you will perform lab tests in various microbiology areas, including bacteriology, mycology, mycobacteriology, and parasitology.
Job Responsibilities
- Sets up and performs a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests
- Performs maintenance on laboratory equipment
- Performs lab tests following the Microbiology Policy and Procedure manual
- Ensures quality control and assurance activities
- Participates in teaching duties related to training
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
- Licensed by the New York State Education Department as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
- Minimum of one year of work experience in microbiology
