Job Summary

We are seeking a Scientific Associate for our Clinical Pathology Team at our Safety Assessment site located in Ashland, OH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document lab procedures, materials, and results per SOPs and regulatory standards.

  • Assist in investigations, assay troubleshooting, SOP updates, and quality observations.

  • Develop critical thinking and time management aligned with lab operations.

  • Review and approve scientific data and deviations, with oversight.

  • Support method development, validation, and study protocol generation.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients for timely communication and project updates.

  • Participate in system qualifications, serve as a mentor, and provide technical guidance.

  • Attend training and scientific conferences to enhance expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in a scientific field strongly preferred; Associate degree minimum.

  • Experience: 3โ€“5 years in a lab setting, with 1 year in contract research or pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Certification (Preferred): MLT, MT, or MLS

  • Skills:

    • Effective communication

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

    • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

    • Competence in standard lab calculations

Work Environment:

  • Requires regular computer use and visual focus.

  • May involve occasional use of protective equipment, handling chemicals, and exposure to biohazards or animals.

  • Quiet office environment with occasional travel.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $68,000 โ€“ $72,000

  • Based on experience, skills, education, and location
