Environmental Monitoring Biologist Job Summary
As an Assistant or Associate Biologist, you will be responsible for environmental monitoring of classified production areas, utility systems, and aseptic fill lines in accordance with GMP standards. This includes sampling, documentation, executing quality oversight protocols, and supporting airflow visualization validations. You will work rotating 12-hour night shifts to ensure uninterrupted production quality at the Clayton manufacturing facility.
Environmental Monitoring Biologist Job – Key Duties
- Routine environmental monitoring of aseptic fill lines
- Executing the Quality Oversight program for fill lines
- Quality control approval of air flow visualizations on-site
- Compliance with SOPs and oral instructions
- Participating in cleaning duties and housekeeping
Environmental Monitoring Biologist Job – Qualifications
Assistant Biologist
- AA or BS in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- 6โ12 months of relevant laboratory experience
- Preferred: GLP/GMP laboratory background
Associate Biologist
- AA or BS in Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant laboratory experience
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and regulated environments
Work Environment
Work involves exposure to biological fluids, potential infectious organisms, and occasional extreme cold. Personal protective equipment is required. Physical tasks include sitting or standing for 2-4 hours daily, performing hand movements, lifting objects weighing up to 35 pounds, bending, and making foot movements.
