Research Associate I Position
We are currently seeking a Research Associate I to join the lab of Dr. Rupangi Vasavada. Dr. Vasavada’s lab focuses on understanding the pathophysiology of type 1 and type 2 diabetes and identifying therapeutics for treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize laboratory equipment and protocols for research experiments
- Record and validate experiment results
- Write SOPs and reports
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences
- 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience
Skills Required:
Experience in molecular and cellular biology, tissue culture, RT-PCR, western blotting, basic mouse phenotyping, DNA extraction, PCR analysis, histological techniques, fluorescent microscopy, and computer skills (word processing, email, spreadsheet management, Adobe Photoshop, Image J).
