Job Description:
At Lilly, we serve an extraordinary purpose. We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Level Biologist to join our discovery research team within Biotherapeutic Enabling Biology in Biotechnology Discovery Research at Lilly Research Labs, Indianapolis, Indiana. The candidate will be involved in discovering and advancing large molecule drugs for various disease areas including diabetes, auto-immune diseases, oncology, and more.
Responsibilities and Functions:
- Developing and performing in vitro cell-based assays
- Flow cytometry or imaging-based characterization of molecules
- Evaluating therapeutic antibodies and proteins
- Conducting antibody and siRNA conjugations in relevant biological systems
- Responsible for prompt delivery & documentation of assay data
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology, or related area with research experience.
Additional Preferences:
- Two or more years of research experience preferred
- Experience in neuronal culturing, ex vivo brain slice, neurophysiology, or murine model of neuronal biology
- Strong team collaboration skills
- Animal tissue dissection, RNA purification, qPCR, and siRNA in vitro testing
- ELISAs and luciferase assays
