Job Description
Job Title: QC Supervisor, Cell Biology – Second Shift
Work Location College Station, TX
The QC Supervisor, Cell Biology, will be responsible for coordinating the installation and qualification of new analytical equipment in support of GMP release and stability testing. The Supervisor will lead tech transfer activities of qualified cell-based and immunological methods and play a pivotal role in selecting personnel for the QC Cell Biology laboratory.
Qualifications
- Masterโs degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 3+ yearsโ industry experience
- OR Bachelorโs degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 5+ yearsโ industry experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or lead role experience
- Sound understanding of ELISA-based methods, including potency and colorimetric assays
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
- Experience prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and stretching
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment
- Attendance is mandatory
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the QC Cell Biology/Immunology Staff
- Coordinate QC testing for GMP release and stability testing
- Ensure maintenance of QC equipment
- Prepare and execute tech transfer, qualification, and validation protocols and reports
- Write, revise, and review SOPs and GMP documentation
- Establish a system for managing test samples, reagents, and standards
- Review and approve data/reports during testing
- Ensure laboratory compliance with specifications and procedures
- Report excursion/out of specifications results and conduct investigations
- Implement corrective actions and collaborate with other departments to improve Quality Management
- Follow all established laboratory, regulatory, safety, and environmental procedures
