Job Description:
As a Microbiologist at Dexcom in Penang, you will support essential cleanroom and lab operations to ensure compliance and high standards in microbiological testing. Responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental particulate and microbial testing for cleanrooms, HVAC systems, compressed air/gas systems, and water systems.
- Conduct laboratory tests, including bacterial Gram staining, microbial identification, endotoxin testing, bioburden testing, and sterility testing.
- Manage environmental monitoring and laboratory upkeep.
- Coordinate testing with contract labs and manage sample submissions and PO creation.
- Maintain laboratory inventory and support equipment/facility maintenance.
- Assist with deviations, CAPAs, NCMRs, risk assessments, validations, and special studies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for sterilization and environmental monitoring programs.
- Interpret microbiological cultures and data, prepare reports, and review documents.
- Follow SOPs and cGMP guidelines in daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
- Practical communication skills and computer proficiency.

Preferred:
- 2+ years of microbiology lab experience (fresh graduates may apply).
- Experience in lab equipment setup and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in the medical industry is an added advantage.
