Job Description
The QC Analyst I โ Environmental Monitoring will support quality control microbiology functions in a GMP-regulated biopharma facility. This position is responsible for performing environmental and utilities monitoring, adhering to aseptic techniques, and conducting lab testing to ensure compliance and product safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform environmental monitoring in aseptic, classified, and controlled areas (routine, batch, quarterly EM).
- Conduct utilities monitoring (WFI, CLST, PW, RO, CAIR, NIT, PWTR) and testing (Endotoxin, TOC, Conductivity, Nitrates, Bioburden).
- Enumerate organisms on cultured media for environmental and utility samples.
- Support manufacturing schedules, which may include overtime, weekends, or holidays.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks, including hood cleans, autoclave operation, dry heat oven monitoring, and laboratory maintenance.
- Review routine paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate or Bachelorโs Degree in a biological science preferred.
- Previous experience in a GMP laboratory or QC microbiology setting is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work flexible shifts.
