About the Role
Do you have a passion for science and a keen interest in computational techniques and mathematical models? Nature Computational Science is looking for an editor with expertise in computational biology, bioinformatics, and systems biology to join their editorial team. Responsibilities
- Handle original research papers and oversee the peer review process
- Make editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts based on expert advice
- Contribute to content and strategy development at Nature Computational Science and other journals
- Commission, edit, or write content such as Reviews and editorials
- Liaise with editors and experts in the scientific community
- Attend conferences and visit research institutions
Requirements
- PhD in a field related to computational biology and bioinformatics
- Thorough understanding of recent trends in the field
- Passion for scientific research and willingness to learn more
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess research submissions from various disciplines
