Job Summary
The Operations Specialist โ Animal Logistics is responsible for the management and oversight of animal colonies, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure efficient use of stock animals for various studies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assignment of reservations against animals in stock.
- Maintaining census levels to support study demand.
- Communication with line management on census needs.
- Coordinating animal acclimation for study use.
- Record-keeping and ensuring stock animals are used appropriately.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift heavy objects, perform laboratory procedures, and work with live animals in a research environment.
Work Environment
Work in a research environment with exposure to chemicals, biological hazards, and live animals.
