Job Description
As a QC Lab Technician I at Novonesis, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality and safety within a GMP-compliant dietary supplement manufacturing facility. This role involves conducting microbiological and analytical tests, preparing samples, validating methods, reviewing vendor documentation, maintaining lab instruments, and supporting quality investigations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production, safety, and compliance standards while adhering to strict timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological and analytical tests on raw materials, finished products, and production equipment.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze samples following laboratory protocols.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments in compliance with SOPs.
- Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and packaging components against the specified requirements.
- Document test data using LIMS and prepare laboratory reports.
- Support QC investigations and assist in updating SOPs.
- Coordinate with external labs for contract testing and review results.
- Participate in method validation, cleaning validation, and equipment qualifications.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field (or equivalent lab experience).
- Previous laboratory experience in an FDA-regulated industry (dietary supplements or pharmaceuticals preferred).
- Strong knowledge of microbiology, chemistry, and laboratory techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with adaptability to diverse work groups.
