Job Description
The Research Associate II – Antibody Development will be responsible for developing monoclonal antibodies at BioLegend derived from immunized animals. The role involves performing antigen preparation, host immunization, bleed analysis, cell lysate preparation, and antibody screening using advanced immunoassay methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare antigens for rodent immunization.
- Perform animal handling and bleeding.
- Maintain cell cultures and cell lines.
- Conduct antibody detection assays, including flow cytometry, Western blot, and ELISA.
- Manage the lab database and maintain records.
- Assist with lab consumables and supplies.
- Support additional lab projects as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree in Life Sciences (Cell Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in mammalian cell culture and lysate preparation.
- 2+ years of experience with ELISA and Western blot.
- 1+ years of animal handling; injection experience is a plus.
Preferred Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of immunology and hybridoma development.
- Strong aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience in rodent handling and injections.
