Description:
Position Summary:
QC Technologist I works in a cGMP environment, conducting quality control testing for commercial and diagnostics products. Responsibilities include testing reagents, IVD materials, and personnel swabs, collaborating with various departments for data collections, and ensuring compliance with the company’s Quality System.
Primary Duties:
- Perform quality control testing on incoming reagents
- Maintain supply stocks and coordinate equipment repairs
- Provide support in projects and validations
- Learn new techniques for product lines
- Perform accurate QC data entry
- Maintain cleanliness in the QC area
- Coordinate repeat testing
- Work closely with colleagues for consistent QC results
- Maintain required records
- Perform other assigned duties
Training and Education:
Associateโs degree or equivalent education in a life science or related field required.
Experience:
Minimum 6 months laboratory experience; cGMP experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Mathematic competency
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective communication skills
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Proficiency with various pipettes
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Remain stationary, often standing, for prolonged periods
- Wear PPE correctly
- Operate heavy machinery
- Ability to move objects up to 25 pounds
