We are looking for a Temporary Research Scientist/Engineer 1 to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

As a Temporary Research Scientist/Engineer 1, you will engage in laboratory work supporting research projects focused on immunology and human disease. The position involves bench research, sample handling, data presentation, and general research support under the supervision of Dr. Canny at the Benaroya Research Institute on First Hill.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Biology, Cellular or Molecular Biology, or related field
  • 2-4 months of applicable work experience
  • Coursework or research experience in immunology
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in molecular biology procedures, cell culture, and immunology techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with flow cytometry, CRISPR-Cas9 editing, and R coding
  • Isolation of immune cells from blood and RNA handling experience
