Job Description

As a Biomedical Engineer (Clinical Specialist) at Brainlab, you will provide on-site consulting and guidance to physicians and Operating Room (OR) personnel, ensuring optimal product usage during surgery. You will manage and maintain Brainlab systems, resolve product issues, and deliver clinical case coverage and training. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support hospital staff in implementing Brainlabโ€™s innovative Image Guided Surgery (IGS) solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site consulting and problem-solving during surgeries to maximize Brainlab product efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain installed systems, including third-party integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product issues using Salesforce and technical documentation.
  • Offer clinical support for complex cases and go-live launches.
  • Train physicians, OR staff, and hospital personnel on IGS products and workflows.
  • Act as a liaison with customers to assess satisfaction and usage levels.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on upgrades, demos, and R&D projects.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce documentation and annual product certification.

Educational Qualification

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, or Nursing.

Experience and Skills

  • 1โ€“3 years of technical support experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • 1โ€“2 years of healthcare sales experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of independent decision-making.
