Main Responsibilities
- This project integrates mammalian cell culture, Process Analytical Technology (PAT), and metabolic flux analysis to understand dynamic cell metabolism and implement active feedback control in bioreactors.
- Assist in MSAT development projects, including cell culture bioreactor operations and analytical equipment utilization (e.g., Raman spectroscopy).
- Contribute to the development of soft sensors for Raman spectroscopy signal processing.
- Participate in cell counting and metabolite prediction using Raman model generation via Multivariate Data Analysis (MVDA).
- Support in-silico simulations and coding for metabolic flux analysis and flux balance analysis to quantify cell metabolism.
- Regularly update the team on project progress and deliver a final presentation.
Requirements
Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa. Currently pursuing a degree in a related field with Python coding experience.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, masterโs, or PhD degree in computational science, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Experience with Python coding.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture/aseptic technique, and cell biology techniques.
- Basic understanding of general concepts of cell biology, biochemistry, and laboratory procedures.
- Ability to work in Biosafety Level 2 environment and follow lab safety procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (excel, PowerPoint, word).
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to details.
