Quality Control Chemist Job Description
As a Quality Control Chemist, you will perform QC testing in all phases of manufacturing, including raw material, in-process, bulk, finished goods, and stability testing. This role involves maintaining accurate records, assisting with special projects, reviewing procedures, and ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform QC testing across multiple manufacturing phases.
- Conduct laboratory procedures as per manufacturing/QC SOPs.
- Support analytics and instrumentation projects.
- Maintain accurate testing records.
- Review and propose updates to procedures.
- Assist in the design and development of experimental protocols and SOPs.
- Manage workload effectively under supervision.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Quality Control Chemist Job – Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, or a related field.
Experience and Skills
- Up to 2 years of experience in QC or QA within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, software, and documentation practices.
- Knowledge of a cGMP environment preferred.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow and maintain company procedures.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
Salary Range
$33.70 – $35.00 per hour
