Job Description

As an Associate Scientist, Upstream Process Media Development, you will support cell culture media development for client programs and platform media initiatives. This role involves executing experiments, designing and analyzing complex media screening studies, and contributing to reports, presentations, and statistical analyses. You will work closely with the Principal Scientist and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions in cell culture media development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support cell culture media development for client programs and platform media development.
  • Execute experiments with supervision to support advancement of the Just-Evotec cell culture media platform.
  • Contribute to statistical analyses, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Design, execute, and analyze complex media screening DoE experiments to enhance cell viability and product quality.
  • Author novel media formulations and documentation, transfer to Manufacturing, and support large-scale GMP media preparation protocols.

Qualifications

  • BS in Cell Biology, Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • 0โ€“2 years of industry-relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of cell biology, cellular metabolism, and lab analytical equipment (pH meters, cell counters, osmometers, metabolite analyzers).
  • Experience with aseptic cell culture techniques and good documentation practices.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Self-starter attitude, problem-solving mindset, and ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
