Role Overview
The co-op student will support the Immunology, Cardiovascular Translational, and Early Development team in genomics and NGS projects. This includes designing assays, running analyses, coding pipelines, and identifying biomarkers to predict drug responses. The role offers direct exposure to the drug development process in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute experiments and develop novel assays using human patient samples.
- Run R scripts to improve data reporting, high-content analysis, and workflow processes.
- Design analysis pipelines for large, de-identified patient datasets.
- Build interactive dashboards using R/Shiny for data visualization.
Qualifications & Skills
- Enrolled in a graduate program in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biotechnology, Computational Biology, or Computer Sciences.
- Basic understanding of genomics and biology.
- Knowledge of Python or R programming with analytic and visualization skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
- Availability for full-time onsite work throughout the 6-month co-op.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not available.
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $29.00–$35.00/hr (subject to final determination based on experience and location).
- Eligible for select benefits per BMS policies during the assignment.
