Job Title: Biocompatibility Intern
Location: Austin, Texas, United States
Internship Role
As a Biocompatibility Intern at Neuralink, you will gain hands-on experience developing and validating cutting-edge in-vitro assays for medical device extracts. This role is an excellent opportunity for students interested in toxicology, molecular biology, neuroscience, and biomedical sciences.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct literature reviews and align assay development with OECD and FDA guidance.

Establish and maintain mammalian cell cultures.

Use advanced tools such as plate readers and confocal microscopes.

Develop and validate assays with positive/negative controls.

Analyze results for reproducibility, sensitivity, and limitations.

Support laboratory setup, calibration, and qualification activities.
Required Qualifications:

B.S. in biology or a related life science field.

Strong knowledge of cell biology, toxicology, or molecular biology.

Hands-on experience with cell culture and microscopy techniques.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

M.S. or PhD student in toxicology, molecular biology, or biochemistry.

Experience in in-vitro assay development.
