About the Role
As the Production Manager & Biologist, you will be at the core of our production site, overseeing lake system operations to ensure efficient harvesting of Beta carotene, all while complying with global standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing raw material and product logistics using SAP and mass balance systems.
- Conducting water analysis, monitoring cell counts, and assessing culture health.
- Adjusting nutrient and seawater inputs to optimize lake productivity.
- Monitor trace elements and supplement as necessary.
- Supervising nutrient additions and maintaining weather station data.
- Developing and implementing procedures for safe and efficient production.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess comprehensive knowledge of production, managing biological processes, and working in a highly regulated environment. Effective communication skills and the ability to train and develop operational staff are vital.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Environmental.
- Prior experience in biological or chemical process control.
- Strong understanding of ISO, GMP, and HACCP quality systems.
- Working knowledge of OH&S, risk assessments, and change management.
