Lab Tech Job- Role:

The Research Laboratory Technician I plays a vital role in supporting laboratory research activities by performing both basic and specialized experimental techniques. Working under the guidance of a Principal Investigator or designee, the technician assists with specimen preparation, dry lab data collection, and day-to-day lab maintenance while adhering to all safety protocols.

Life Science Graduates- Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory experiments using routine and specialized methods.
  • Assist senior researchers with complex laboratory procedures.
  • Collect, analyze, and process biological and chemical samples.
  • Record results, organize data, and perform basic computations.
  • Maintain inventory and laboratory equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Follow biosafety and infection control standards at all times.
  • Support research goals by performing additional lab duties as required.

Lab Tech Job- Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data analysis tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, judgment, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
  • Willingness to work in a wet chemistry lab environment, which may include handling biohazards, radionucleotides, toxins, animals, or human specimens.

Supervision:

  • Reports to the Principal Investigator or designee.
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
