Biotech Jobs- Role:
The Scientist II, Process Development will support the Technical Development team in developing, optimizing, and establishing scalable processes for Legend Biotechโs gene and cellular therapy pipeline. This includes cGMP-compliant manufacturing for new IND and first-in-human products. The role requires experience with mammalian cell culture, process development, and cross-functional collaboration to drive scientific excellence and patient-focused outcomes.
Biotech Jobs- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute complex process development studies under senior staff guidance.
- Develop phase-appropriate components of projects aligned with company strategic objectives.
- Execute lab studies and GMP manufacturing processes, documenting results in lab notebooks and manufacturing batch records (MBRs).
- Author SOPs, technical protocols, and regulatory-supporting documents.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration, cleaning, and inventory management.
- Provide technical expertise for deviations, CAPAs, and root cause investigations.
- Use statistical tools (e.g., JMP, GraphPad) and visualization tools (PowerBI) to analyze and trend data.
- Collaborate with Analytical Development, Material Science, and cross-functional teams to support product development strategies.
Scientist Job- Qualifications:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- 3โ5 years of experience in process development for gene-modified products in biotech, pharma, or academic settings.
- Expertise in biotechnology bioprocessing, gene/cell therapy process development, and GMP manufacturing.
- Experience with viral vectors and gene editing is a plus.
- Strong scientific writing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency with cGMP and FDA guidelines preferred; English and Mandarin beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Pay Range: $107,482 โ $141,070 USD
