Research Associate Jobs Cambridge- Role:

The Research Associate Scientist II will contribute to the design and execution of studies supporting RNAi therapeutic programs focused on CNS and emerging tissues. This full-time, onsite role in Cambridge, MA involves molecular and biochemical assays, animal tissue processing, and data analysis, requiring strong organizational skills and scientific rigor.

Research Associate Jobs Cambridge- Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute studies to characterize molecules for RNAi therapeutic programs, including rodent disease models.
  • Process animal tissues (grinding, homogenization, RNA extraction) and perform molecular assays like qPCR, Western blot, and ELISA.
  • Analyze data and report findings to management and research teams.
  • Maintain accurate sample tracking in systems such as ELN, LIMS, Smart Refrigeration, Smartsheets, and other databases.
  • Adhere to SOPs and laboratory protocols while ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving project priorities.
  • Proactively communicate to improve lab workflows and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, or related life sciences.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven teamwork and communication skills in collaborative research settings.
  • High attention to detail with commitment to data accuracy and scientific rigor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and GraphPad Prism.
  • Experience with laboratory automation or liquid handling systems is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving scientific environment.

Work Environment and Compensation:
