Scientist Jobs at Zoetis- Key Responsibilities:
- Design, run, and interpret mammalian cell culture experiments in shake flasks and bioreactors (fed-batch, perfusion)
- Apply DoE, statistical modeling, and scale-up principles to optimize bioprocesses
- Translate CFD modeling into practical scale-up and control strategies
- Leverage multivariate analyses, mechanistic models, and ML approaches to improve process understanding
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams and contribute to tech transfers and regulatory filings
- Document experiments in electronic lab notebooks and author technical reports
- Evaluate new bioprocess technologies and modeling approaches to improve workflows
Qualifications & Skills for Scientist Role (Biology Jobs):
- BS (4โ7+ years), MS (1โ3+ years), or PhD (0โ3+ years) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Chemical/Biological/Biomedical Engineering
- Strong foundation in upstream bioprocessing: mammalian cell culture and bioreactor operations
- Experience with DoE, multivariate data analysis (MVDA), CFD, and scale-up principles
- Familiarity with scientific computing, data analysis tools, and mechanistic/kinetic modeling
- Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and communication skills; ability to bridge bench science, process engineering, and data analytics
