Biomedical Engineering Job- Role
As an Applications Engineer 2 in the Downstream Filtration R&D Applications Group, you’ll support the development of cutting-edge downstream processing products used in the manufacture of life-saving biopharmaceuticals. This position contributes to creating advanced filtration and solid/liquid separation technologies for diverse bioprocessing applications, including normal flow filtration, tangential flow filtration, and adsorptive media processes.
Biomedical Engineering Job- Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Chemical, Biochemical, or Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, or another STEM discipline
- Bachelor’s degree in the same fields plus 3+ years of industrial experience in biotechnology or bioprocessing R&D
Application engineer jobs- Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of chemical engineering principles
- Hands-on experience with normal flow and tangential flow filters
- Familiarity with biopharmaceutical filtration products and methods
- Laboratory and test method development experience
- Skills in experimental design, statistical analysis, and computational modeling (e.g., Comsol)
- Software proficiency: Microsoft Office, Minitab, VBA, Python, Matlab, or LabView
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Pay Range and Benefits
Salary Range: $80,400 – $140,300 annually
