Life Science Jobs In Washington- Role:

As a Process Development Associate II/III, you will play a key role in supporting mammalian cell culture processes to develop and optimize upstream workflows for biologics production. Youโ€™ll work hands-on with shake flasks and bioreactors to inoculate, monitor, feed, and harvest cultures โ€” driving forward the next generation of therapeutic protein development.

Research Jobs- Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and support bench-scale bioreactor and shake flask experiments using aseptic techniques.
  • Perform cell culture operations, including sampling, counting, feeding, harvesting, and data recording.
  • Execute core CLD tasks such as molecular cloning, DNA purification, transfection, cryopreservation, and fed-batch production.
  • Collaborate with scientists to design, execute, and analyze experiments for process improvement.
  • Maintain laboratory operations โ€” including autoclaving, stocking supplies, and performing basic maintenance.
  • Contribute to protocol drafting, data presentations, and technical reports.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the CLD/UPD laboratory.

Associate Jobs- Qualifications

  • B.S. in Life Sciences or Engineering with 2โ€“6 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, molecular cloning, or bioreactor systems.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with analytical equipment and data systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced bioprocessing environment.
  • Willingness to support occasional evening or weekend laboratory work.
