AstraZeneca Careers- Role:
As a Scientist in the Cell Therapy Discovery team, you will design and implement experimental strategies to support the discovery and development of next-generation cellular immunotherapies. Youโll integrate computational biology, AI, and advanced omics analysis with hands-on wet-lab experiments to uncover new insights into immune cell behavior and therapeutic potential.ย This position is an opportunity to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, contribute to a growing cell therapy pipeline, and directly influence AstraZenecaโs mission to cure cancer through precision-engineered cellular medicines.
Research Jobs- Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and troubleshoot discovery research experiments in a collaborative team setting.
- Analyze and interpret large-scale omics datasets to guide therapeutic design.
- Develop and deploy AI-driven machine learning and deep learning models to extract biological insights.
- Execute in vitro functional assays (cytotoxicity, proliferation, cytokine profiling, flow cytometry).
- Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional project teams.
- Ensure compliance with AstraZenecaโs quality, safety, and ethical standards.
Scientist Jobs- Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in Cellular Therapy, Immunology, Immuno-Oncology, or Computational Biology.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or R, with working knowledge of UNIX environments and high-performance computing (e.g., SLURM).
- Experience processing and interpreting single-cell or spatial transcriptomics data.
- Hands-on experience in T-cell assays such as cytotoxicity, cytokine analysis, and multi-parameter flow cytometry.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across disciplines.
Desirable:

Industry experience in drug discovery or cell therapy development.
