The Regulatory Affairs & Safety Associate, Regulatory and Compliance provides regulatory and compliance support for Reckittโ€™s local regulatory team. This position reports to the Regulatory Affairs & Safety Manager, Essential Home.

Educational Requirements for Safety Affairs Associate Role:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (BA/BS) in Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • 1โ€“3 years of professional experience in consumer products, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or Ag-Chem industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US regulatory frameworks and relevant product compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities of Safety Affairs Associate Role:

  • Collaborate with regulatory staff and cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Quality, Packaging, and Marketing) to manage approvals, registrations, and compliance documentation.
  • Review formulas and ingredients for Regulatory Formula Assessments (RFA) and fragrance transparency documentation.
  • Prepare and file federal and state registrations, amendments, or notifications with agencies like the US EPA.
  • Conduct VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) and product formulation assessments.
  • Maintain ingredient disclosure databases and oversee product listings on WERCSmart and Smarter X.
  • Review and verify Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for GHS compliance and transportation classifications.
  • Support Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reporting and product certifications for Free Trade Agreement compliance.
  • Monitor new regulations and provide updates to ensure ongoing product compliance.

Skills Required for Safety Affairs Associate Role:

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance systems (WERCSmart, Smarter X).
  • Regulatory writing, dossier preparation, and product labeling expertise.
  • Understanding of GHS classification, VOC assessments, and chemical registration.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management ability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools.
