Your Role
MilliporeSigma in Bellefonte, PA, is seeking an Associate Production Scientist. In this role, you will:
- Manufacture and evaluate gas chromatographic (GC) capillary products per established protocols.
- Provide technical support and perform operations that contribute to group and departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely perform operations and ensure product quality.
- Conduct routine assays, processes, and unit operations.
- Maintain lab equipment, prepare reagents, and manage supplies and waste.
- Communicate progress and report deviations to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate, compliant records and logbooks.
- Perform and interpret analytical evaluations of products and intermediates.
- Independently execute procedures with precision.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement using scientific principles.
Physical Requirements for Life Sciences Jobs at MilliporeSigma
- Utilize standard vision and handle laboratory tools and equipment.
- Lift and move materials (15โ50 lbs).
- Work at bench and hood height.
- Handle chemicals safely with appropriate PPE.
Minimum Qualifications for Research and Development Job:
- Bachelorโs degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or other Life Science fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of lab or industrial experience.
- Willingness to train 6โ12 months for independent work.
- Strong foundation in chemistry, biochemistry, math, and general science.
- Experience with laboratory instruments, production equipment, and process techniques.
- Familiarity with ISO Quality Standards and safe chemical handling.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Compensation and Benefits for Jobs at MilliporeSigma
- Pay Range: $24.00 โ $41.00 per hour
- Actual pay will depend on experience, skills, education, and location.
