The Opportunity
The Research Associate will contribute to the development of next-generation single-cell multi-omics technologies for high-throughput screening. This role involves designing, performing, and troubleshooting experiments that drive the future of biomedical discovery.
What You’ll Do
- Design and perform molecular biology assays (primer design, DNA/RNA purification, PCR, gel electrophoresis)
- Optimize single-cell/nuclei extraction, barcoding, and library preparation methods
- Perform next-generation sequencing (NGS)
- Identify and recommend improvements to experimental processes
- Support development of high-throughput multi-omics profiling technologies
- Collaborate with scientists across disciplines for experimental design and problem-solving
- Contribute to manuscript and presentation preparation
What You’ll Bring
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, or related field + 2 years of research experience (or Master’s degree with no experience)
- 1+ year experience in molecular and/or synthetic biology techniques
- 1+ year experience in next-generation sequencing
- Strong troubleshooting and experimental optimization skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams
- Initiative and a proactive problem-solving attitude
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with data analysis and single-cell analytic workflows
Compensation
Base Pay Range (New York City, NY): $71,000 – $98,000
