Lab Technician Job Summary

Nestlé Health Science is seeking a Laboratory Quality Technician to ensure the safety and quality of products through advanced laboratory testing and analysis. This role supports quality control efforts by conducting microbiological, chemical, and physical tests at various production stages while maintaining the highest lab standards. Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Operations

  • Perform microbiological, chemical, and physical testing on raw materials and finished products.

  • Conduct environmental monitoring and investigative sample testing.

  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly.

  • Manage lab inventory, reagent supplies, and analytical reporting.

Laboratory Quality Ambassador

  • Adhere to Nestlé Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Biosafety/Biosecurity Protocols.

  • Review and validate lab data for accuracy and consistency.

  • Monitor analytical methods through control charting and conduct investigations on trends.

  • Support qualification, validation, and verification processes.

Training & Communication

  • Collaborate with factory operations and internal teams for test updates and reports.

  • Train new lab personnel on established methods and procedures.

Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Follow factory safety and environmental standards, reporting incidents promptly.

  • Conserve resources and promote recycling efforts.

  • Ensure full compliance with the Safety & Environmental Management System (SEMS).

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Uphold Nestlé Quality Management System (QMS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Engage in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) initiatives such as 5S, DMAIC, and TPM.

Experience & Education Requirements for Lab Technician Job

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a laboratory or analytical setting.

  • Manufacturing or production experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; SAP experience preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
