Educational Requirements for Senior Associate Scientist:
- Bachelor’s degree in life science (biology, cell biology, immunology, virology, microbiology, or bioengineering) with 4–5 years of experience, OR
- Master’s degree in life science with 1–3 years of laboratory experience
- 3+ years of mammalian cell culture experience
- Ability to analyze data using scientific software
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a team on multiple projects with minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Flow cytometry experience
- Experience in drug discovery
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Associate Scientist:
- Perform laboratory activities including mammalian cell culture work
- Ensure compliance with GxP regulations
- Complete documentation and data review
- Train new analysts once proficient
- Provide input into study design and perform experiments for qualification, QC, and assay improvement
- Review protocol documentation, SOPs, data archiving, and reports
- Present experimental results at group/project meetings
- Participate in procurement and planning of critical reagents
- Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Comply with cGMP/GLP and complete required safety training
- Work independently on assigned projects
Skills Required for the Senior Associate Scientist Role:
