Educational Requirements for the Biologist Role:

  • Bachelorโ€™s and/or Masterโ€™s degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Biochemistry, or related scientific fields
  • Minimum 3+ years of industry or academic experience in relevant laboratory research

Key Responsibilities of the Biologist Role:

  • Collaborate with project team leads and senior scientists to design and execute study plans and in vitro experiments
  • Prepare, process, and analyze tissue samples (RNA/DNA/protein isolation)
  • Perform qRT-PCR, immunoassays, Western blots, and other molecular assays
  • Utilize automation for low/medium/high-throughput assay workflows
  • Develop and implement assay validation procedures
  • Process data using statistical and data visualization software
  • Document all experimental findings in electronic lab notebooks
  • Conduct lab housekeeping, including inventory and instrument maintenance
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic research environment
  • Adapt to changing project needs and timelines

Skills Required for the Biologist Role:

  • Strong hands-on experience in cell/molecular biology, biochemistry, or pharmacology
  • Technical expertise in immunoassays and Western blotting
  • Prior pharmaceutical/industry experience preferred
  • Training in in vitro biomarker assay development
  • Knowledge of proteomics platforms (Mass Spectrometry, Olink, NULISA, SomaScan)
  • Experience with neuroscience-relevant in vitro & in vivo models
  • Ability to design and execute experiments across neuroscience indications
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
