Key Responsibilities
- Stage, fill, cap, label, and overpack liquid, powder, and lyophilized products per specifications.
- Perform manual and semi-automated packaging; handle hazardous and aseptic fills.
- Set up, operate, clean, and troubleshoot automated/semi-automated equipment (fill lines, cappers, labelers).
- Use pumps, filters, electronic balances, and torque wrenches safely and accurately.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality systems (ISO 13485, ISO 9001).
- Wear proper PPE and maintain documentation for equipment and calibrations.
- Train operators participate in 6S initiatives and maintain clean work areas.
- Pack kits and transport materials using proper handling equipment.
Physical Requirements for Life Science Jobs
- Ability to wear PPE: hard hats, safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hair/beard covers, Tyvek suits, respirators.
- Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; more with assistance.
- Work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid, wet).
- Stand, sit, walk, kneel, twist, and reach for extended periods.
- Work near hazardous chemicals and human-source materials.
- Full visual abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED + 1 year production experience, OR
- Bachelorโs degree in a Life Science discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year experience with general lab equipment.
- 6+ months of experience weighing chemicals.
- 3+ months of experience in an ISO/GMP-regulated environment.
- Basic math skills (metrics & conversions).
- Knowledge of safety rules, GMP, SOPs, and UOPs.
- Mechanical aptitude with equipment handling experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot automated packaging systems.
