- Familiarity with oncology, biostatistics, data analytics, or health data management is preferred
- Basic understanding of oncology terminology, clinical trials, and cancer datasets
Key Responsibilities of the Remote Role:
- In this Remote Role, you have to participate in the internship program kickoff and scheduled summer activities
- Collaborate with teams on oncology data analysis projects
- Attend workshops, industry panels, and educational sessions
- At Labcorp, you have to present, findings and innovative project outcomes to senior leadership
- Network with professionals and fellow interns
- Analyze complex datasets and contribute to healthcare data solutions
Skills Required for the Bioinformatics Internship:
- This Bioinformatics Internship requires proficiency in Python, R, SQL (Java or C++ is a plus)
- Experience with databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI
- Understanding of statistical methods and applications in health data
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail
- Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy regulations is an advantage
