Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Pharmacy & Laboratory Services, the Collaborations Coordinator, XenoSTART is responsible for comprehensive annotation, organization, and inventory management of all XPDX models. The role also supports collaborator communication, scientific operations, logistics, and data tracking.
Essential Responsibilities
Model Annotation & Data Management

Maintain complete and current records for all XPDX models (pathology confirmation, IHC data, sequencing, in vivo results, and other integrity tests).

Organize and ensure data accuracy across all platforms.
Sample & Inventory Coordination
-
Manage inventory of viable and non-viable model samples; monitor and escalate shortages.

Prioritize models for sequencing; coordinate activities with external sequencing vendors.

Maintain accurate manifests, logs, and characterization tracking.
Shipping & Logistics
-
Serve as the primary contact for domestic and international sample transfers outside of study use.

Ensure compliance with IATA regulations and required documentation.
Collaborator & Program Support
-
Manage communication with collaborators licensing or utilizing XPDX models.

Coordinate and report data from the in vivo rat program.

Organize pathogen testing and perform routine lineage accuracy reviews.
Meetings & Operational Support

Participate in regular team meetings and cross-functional initiatives.

Provide project updates and perform additional duties as needed.
Education & Experience for Life Science Jobs
Required
-
Bachelorโs degree (life sciences preferred).
-
2 years of relevant experience (research or scientific support preferred).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred

Experience with high-volume data handling and record-keeping.

Experience with FreezerWorks inventory tracking.

Self-motivated and collaborative, with ability to work across locations.
