Requirements for Life Science Jobs at LabCorp
- Bachelorโs degree in Life Science
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience (for Technologist level)
- ASCP or AMT certification required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Computer proficiency; LIS familiarity preferred
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to pass a color-vision screening
- Flexibility for overtime or additional shifts as needed
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability according to criteria
- Perform routine and complex testing per SOPs
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot lab instruments
- Make technical decisions to resolve testing issues
- Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls
- Report accurate, timely test results
- Perform and document QC and preventive maintenance
- Maintain supplies at the testing bench
- Assist with specimen processing when needed
- Maintain safety standards and use PPE.
