Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Science with 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience
Key Responsibilities of the Research Associate Role:
- Assist senior staff with planning, performing, and documenting experiments
- Conduct general laboratory duties and buffer preparation
- Perform animal tissue processing
- Execute analytical pathology techniques including Tissue sectioning (microtomy, cryotomy), Histologic staining (H&E, Masson’s trichrome), Immunohistochemistry, In Situ Hybridization
- Perform brightfield and epifluorescence microscopy
- Conduct qualitative and basic quantitative image analysis (Visiopharm)
- Prepare image data for reports and presentations
- Support development and optimization of experimental systems
- Perform experiments based on SOPs, literature protocols, or innovative approaches
- Maintain accurate documentation and handle raw data appropriately
- Support general laboratory maintenance activities
Skills Required for the Research Associate Role:
- Strong foundational wet lab skills
- Experience with tissue processing and microscopy techniques
- Understanding of histology and immunohistochemistry
- Ability to follow SOPs and scientific protocols
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a wet lab environment
- Ability to handle occasional exposure to toxic chemicals, odors, and wet lab conditions
- No known chemical allergies
