Educational Requirements for Production Lab Tech role:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years of production experience
OR - Bachelorโs degree in any Life Science discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience using general lab equipment
- 6+ months of chemical weighing experience
- 3+ months working in ISO/GMP-regulated environments
- Strong basic math and metric conversion skills
- Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, safety rules, and UOPs
- Mechanical aptitude with pumps & electronic balances
- Ability to troubleshoot automated packaging equipment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities for Production Lab Tech role:
- Perform staging, filling, capping, labeling, and overpacking of liquid, powder, and lyophilized products
- Handle hazardous and aseptic products in controlled environments
- Set up, operate, clean, and troubleshoot automated and semi-automated equipment
- Use pumps, filters, balances, and torque wrenches for accurate material handling
- Follow ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality and safety protocols
- Wear and maintain appropriate PPE at all times
- Train operators and participate in 6S and continuous improvement programs
- Maintain tidy workspaces, pack kits, and transport materials safely
- Document equipment use and ensure calibration compliance
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Work in hot, cold, humid, or wet conditions
- Stand, sit, walk, kneel, reach, or crouch throughout shift
- Use full range of vision including depth & color perception
- Work near hazardous chemicals and human-source materials
