Educational Requirements for the Laboratory Analyst Role:
- Minimum Associateโs Degree in a Life Science field
- 1 year of work experience and/or 2 years of Microbiology experience preferred
- Knowledge of cGMP guidelines related to Microbiology
- USP testing experience preferred
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and rotating shifts
Key Responsibilities of the Laboratory Analyst Role:
- Complete microbiological testing in a cGMP-compliant manner
- Maintain the Microbiology Laboratory according to cGMP standards and regulations
- Perform non-testing tasks including Media preparation, Glassware washing, and General housekeeping and disinfection
- Conduct maintenance and calibration of assigned equipment
- Handle biohazard materials safely
- Use hand and power tools; lift 50 lbs; navigate stairs, ladders, platforms
- Stand for extended periods on concrete floors
- Enter confined spaces when required
Skills Required for the Laboratory Analyst Role:
- Strong understanding of microbiology workflows and laboratory practices
- Ability to operate, maintain, and clean automated manufacturing equipment
- Accurate data recording and documentation skills
- Strong technical, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Commitment to wearing required safety equipment (safety shoes, eye & ear protection)
